If you have school age children head off to their science lab and check out your stylus. You could also ckeck out your local audio dealer who specializes in vinyl as he might be a great help.
That sounds distinctly like needle meltdown. Don't play anything else until a dealer or knowledgable friend checks it out.

Yeah, its the stylus. I thought it may have been but i wanted to be sure. Thanks for the help. Now I have an excuse to upgrade the cartridge:)
