copmuter? HA! I crack me up
Hey Skell,
Just how is your "copmuter" music system set up? How do you stream the music to all those locations, etc.?
By the way, I completely agree with you - having the ability to access one's entire music library from several different locations without having to shuffle around CDs is truly the way to go. Of course, having a good vinyl front end is also important but who wants to have to worry about flipping vinyl when one is busy flipping burgers.
The way I do it is.......easy and KISS
The listening room has a
PS Audio 4.6 Pre-amp breathed on by Rick Cullen
PS Audio Trio A-100 amp
a pair of Boston Acoustics VR-M60 Speakers
a velodyne CHT 12 Subwoofer (out of the system right now)
Being fed by a Linksys WMB 54g Music Bridge (ugh) via an Audio Alchemy DDE DAC (old but reliable)
The deck system is a Sony ES-1000 AV Reciever being fed by the second set of outputs on the pre amp, and a pair of Boston Voyager all- weather speakers.
The den is an old (1975) Technics intergrated driving a pair of small Energy monitors, getting it's source from an airport express (analog out) this system is only social event background.
All being managed by I-tunes playing lossless and WAV
No independent control on any of these. Whatever is playing plays in all locations.
I am wanting to go Sonos or Squeezebox throughout
Moderate wiring and interconnects, with a smattering of PS Audio electrical mgt.
