I did check out the Tivoli products at a local retailer. Features aside, they sounded incrementally better to me than my $60 Sony boombox. I didn't think they were worth the $$$. Just my two cents. I'd get the Meridian F80 if I wanted to spend $3000(!) on a table radio...
The base Tivoli is wonderfully musical and a delight to operate at ~ $100.
The Meridian F80 provides astonishing sound for a table radio - but it is ridiculously pricey. Those pesky diminishing returns...
