For the price rang of the Dynamo, I would recommnend a REL T-3. I've had the capability to listen to both and the REL will blow the Dynamo out of the water. The beautiful thing you can do with the REL is that you can use it for your LFE in your home theater system at the same time as using it to extend the bass of the B&W's (the REL dealer should know how to do this if they have gone through Sumiko's Masters Training) It uses a special cable that comes with the Subwoofer to connect it to the same terminals as your B&W's and then you adjust the sub to blend in with the speaker and extend their bass while you still use the LFE cable for your movies. It's a win-win situation.

Thanks for suggesting the REL. I feel like a broken record around here because I ALWAYS suggest the REL to anyone looking for a sub. They are just head and shoulders above almost everything out there.

Don't get me wrong I'm a Martin Logan man. I own the original CLS. I've heard most of their subs and have never even been tempted, they aren't a sub company. REL ONLY makes subs, and they are fantastic.

I know what you mean about the broken record. I'm just excited that I was able to order my new speakers (Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Baby Grands). After my next purchase, which will be a turntable, I plan to purchase a REL B3

The REL T-3 is barely a subwoofer with its 27 Hz @ -6dB extension.

Better performing subs are the Hsu VTF-2 MK 3 at $549 (20 Hz @ -6dB) or the SVS PB12-NSD at $599 (18 Hz @ -3dB). Both are known to achieve good integration with music systems.

Trying to compare specs between manufactures is a dangerous game. They could have be obtained in a completely different manner. Plus specs don't tell you how things will sound. Listening is the best test. The RELs are nearly unique in their ability to completely vanish when the proper set up is done well. I haven't heard the HSU stuff but out of everything I have heard nothing is within striking distance of the REL subs.
