i might be missing something in your articles but it seems as if you were not overly impressed with the DSD multichannel playback ? have you tried it at the 1.3a standard and if so does it make any difference.

Nope. I was impressed but, with this player and this processor, I slightly preferred having the DSD-PCM conversion in the player over having it in the processor. Either way is pretty good.
