Great story, Brian! I'm sentimental about electronics, too. I have a Toshiba TV from before I was born that is still going strong.
At least here I don't feel like an idiot. One friend suggested I get with the program and go for burned CDs. I have had enough trouble with regular CDs and their players that I don't really wish to go that route.
