i would go with the b&k. if i am not mistaken parasound is not US made and for that kind of money it is way to expensive, besides i have a friend that owns a parasound system and he is not too happy for what he payed for it. i just got a friend of mine the b&k 200X7s2 and he realy likes it. i would also look into ab international which used to make cinepro years ago. bob hennings has a six channel amp on e-bay which is awesome, can be tweeked just like the 3k6 for around $1800.-, besides the cinepro is $6750.00, 400 watts into 8 ohms, this thing kicks, besides 125 watts is just not enough, at least go for the b&k 5x200, the more power the better. ab is also coming out with a STUDIO 6 model which they use for imax-disney-lucas, these amps are just awesome for the money, i am also in contact with bob hennings from ab international, on b&k i can get you about 20% off, most likley you'll pay close to retail. GO TO www.abamps.com
I WOULD GO WITH B&K OVER PARASOUND ANYTIME, BUT YOU HAVE A LOT OF OPTIONS, IN THAT PRICERANGE YOU CAN FIND SOME VERY GOOD EQUIPMENT.retail on the studio6 is $4200.00- i can arrange that amp for you for $2400.00
if you go to the ab website bob will send you the link to the studio6 amp. you match this amp with source speakers and your in sonic heaven. you can build a system for a fraction of the cost that will outperform mainstream systems
(high advertising cost) costing 5-10 times the amount.

Thanks for the input. I have read up on a few other brands and agree that the B&K is the choice product.

$6,750 is more than I have to spend...I am looking at $2K, and under for a pre/power amp set-up. 400 watts is more than I'll ever need...200 watts is even more than enough. The 125 has enough power and is affordable. Besides, I have other equipment to purchase to complete the set-up.

I am only interested in a 2 channel system, which eliminates a number of devices. I will go to the AB site and check it out.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Mike

ps: I haven't had a chance to go to my local Source dealer to check out the speakers. I'll let you know what I think.
