Have you consulted with a design team? What is available to you? Have you included room treatments in the $5k budget or am I misreading and this is your budget for just room treatments?
The budget of $4,500 to $5,000 is for a 7.1 receiver and speaker system.
How much for the room treatments?
We have heavey floor to ceiling curtains arount the screen and 15 feet along the side walls. We think we need to get the receiver and speakers to see if there are any other requirments.
I'm simply going to need some more information than you've provided so far. This is a very large room and $5k would be my budget for the speakers to fill this space. You don't have that to spend so there will have to be compromises. Just how big is this room in cubic feet? What are the restrictions you've placed on speaker size and position?
You haven't told me whether you've consulted with a shop or an installer. I also asked what equipment was available to you and didn't get an answer. I can't do much with the information you've provided. It makes no sense to recommend a product you can't find in your area to buy and someone who has been on site will have a good idea what problems and assets you have to work with in your room.
Can you please give me as much information as possible to get this going?
