Could you describe coming in short? The PSB's could be overloading your room; there's a lot of midbass driver there. Do you have any acoustic treatments in your room?
The Creek 5350SE should be plenty able to drive the PSB's; the bass might sound lean, but your room, speaker placement, cables, etc could be the problem. -Z

By coming up short I meant that it has timed out on me a couple of times at the volume I like to listen to some music. I have the room set up with makeshift room treatment and nothing special in the cable department but I'm satisfied with their sonic qualities but if the Creek is shutting down now I believe it will worsen in a larger room. Just looking for more power that would be a good match for the speakers. For example the review stated they were "a little on the cold side" so the tubed Unico or maybe the NAD M3 that "sounded tube like" or any other suggestions??

Well looks like its time for an upgrade... Shanling has a new integrated A3000 - 200 watts rms @ 8 ohms, 80,000 uf, tube input stage, separate power supplies weighing in at 66 lbs. The NAD M3 is made in China like the Shanling, but costs more and the Shanling's Case-Work has classic good looks. Musical Fidelity has several intregrated amps worth looking at; A5 or the A1008. I have some Music Hall gear (aka Shanling) and love them. -Z

thanks, the shanling sounds like it worth checking out. since I don't think there are any dealers in this area do you have a dealer suggestion? I've used Music Direct, Audio Advisor, and Elusive Disc but don't remember if any carry Shanling.

Audio Advisor carries the Shanling A3000. You might have to search by brand, or if you page back to the first page on the Intregrated Amps after you look at page two, it pops up. -Z

Thanks for the link "Z". I recently ordered a Teac CD recorder from them and wasn't happy with it's operation. Recordings were OK but it wasn't user friendly. I'm thinking about purchasing another one and have been looking at the MARANTZ CDR-510 CD RECORDER and am fairly certain it will fill the bill, but the drawback is cost. Would you have a recommendation for a reliable, easy to use recorder?
