Very interesting. My wife is about to buy an Intel PowerBook -- she has been very envious of my 2002-vintage G4 TiBook -- but also wants to be able to run legacy Windows business software. So I am gong to check out the Windows emulation.
Forgive me my OS-ignorance, but what advantage does Ubuntu offer over garden-variety Linux?

In linux land it all comes down to support and documentation. Ubuntu has an army of blood thirsty code monkeys and support folk. Most of them volunteer their time and wish for nothing more than a satisfied convert. They have also done a great job at marketing themselves, something their peers could learn from. Here is a good link that will address a bunch of questions you may have regarding Ubuntu: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=58862
Good luck
Run away!
Are these related to the flying monkeys that tormented Dorothy?
Thanks very much.
