I'd like to answer your question, but I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, Len. Would you please rephrase, and please make sure you've got the model numbers correct. This will help me find the correct answer for you. (In your subject heading, you mention the N800, but in your text you mention the N802.)

Thanks.

Quote:
What took the 800D out of the restricted extreme LF section as compared to it predessor the N802?

AFAIK:
The 800D has not been reviewed.
The N800 and N802 have been discontinued.
The 802D has been reviewed.

Sorry for the confusion. I mean't to ask what changed between the B&W N802 which I believe was originally rated a class A restricted LF speaker vs. the B&W 802D which is currently rated in the class A with no such restriction. I know the integration between the HF and mid has improved, but I don't remember reading why the LF would have greatly improved given the LF speaker modules haven't changed.
