Computer doesn't have ears that interprete the sound differently, I can't see why cables would matter when recording the sound. Only the microphones are important when recording.

As the article recognizes, microphone cables do sound different.

But the most important thing to take away from the article is that microphone positioning is *vastly* more important than the microphone cables themselves.

I would record using clothesline if in exchange I always knew where to place the mics.
