If you like Dire Straits and don't have their album, "On Every Street," I would encourage you to pick it up. I think you would probably like Chris Rea as well. His music is along the same lines and he's every bit as competent a musician. I would suggest Rea's, "Road To Hell" as a good barometer to determine how deep in his extensive library you want to dig through.

AND Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Sessions" Hybrid SACD, so when you get the SACD player it'll sound even better!! It's SRV and Albert King wailing...sounds gooooood.

They have some awesome sounding bands, listen to Masters of Illusion by Pendragon or some of the Magenta stuff.

Its not for everyone but there are some singing guitars

Malakei,

I'm not sure what you mean by "more guitar", but here are a few of my favorite guitar LP/CDs....

Dixie Dregs - Start with the earlier stuff. Steve Morse ain't too shabby.
Steve Stevens (from Billy Idol's band) - Highly under-rated. Check out Flamenco A GoGo.
Paul Gilbert (from Racer X and Mr. Big) - Check out any of the solo stuff.
Nils Lofgren - Cry Tough or The Nils Lofgren Band Live. Sort of similar to Dire Straits. Kinda.
Ry Cooder - Anything with his name on it. It's all good.

Here are a few more names to research...Eric Johnson, Sonny Landreth, Steve Vai, Ronnie Earl,Derek Trucks.
A resource I use quite often is All Music Guide. For the most part they are pretty up to date. I'm sure other members have some other favorites that I'm not aware of, but I'm always up for checking out new sites.
My 2 cents worth.....I hope you find something in there that appeals to you.

Have a good one
