Would you buy a re-furb?

In the past I have purchaced a number of "B" stocks and as long as they are offering a good warranty I'd go for it. They are as good as new, excepting the possibility of some minor cosmentic damage. Maybe even better since the repair was done by a human who probably double checked their work.

Thanks for the response. FYI it's a NAD C372 that I can grab.

Hi, Reeks, welcome!

I'm with MrLowry, the units are probably less problem prone than a random new unit.

Just make sure the warranty is the actual manufacturer's warranty and not a "store warranty."

If the warranty is real, I'd say, "Buy buy buy!"

I've had pretty great luck with b stock myself - if the warranty is legit and the dealer is reputable - go for it!

Would you mind sharing the site with us? I am starting to look for a new integrated and am interested in NAD as well.

Thanks

Dave

If it is, in fact, a manufacturer's warrantee, do it. Do you have any return privileges it, when you get the product and audition it you're not satisfied?

Dave, I'm not sure where the OP was referring to, but from talking to NAD I believe there's only a few retailers selling their refurbs. I've dealt with a store called Spearit Sound in MA. It's a retail store that ships out many, but not all their items. From my one experience with them they were very helpful over the phone. The NAD refurbs they sell have a 1 year manufacturer warranty. The store has a 7 day return policy, which seems tight for mail, but it's from the time you receive it to the time you call them for the RA number, so it's a full seven days. I had to return an item once and they were just as good, promptly crediting my account and sending me the receipt. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.
