Jeff-

Thanks for sharing. Probably one of the most talented guitarists of all time, regardless of genre.

Dude, you nailed his eyes and the entire caricature rings true because of it. SRV had the uncommon gift of using his instrument as an extra appendage. He didn't play his guitar, he just let his guts flow through it. I remember hearing 'Riviera Paradise' for the first time and thinking to myself, "this guy just stood on the shoulder's of the greatest...where did that come from?"

I never missed a chance to see Stevie when he was playing in Austin.

Cool, just think, if there where more SRV out there and less P Diddy and InSync, and Brittany Spears shit music the world would be a better place.

Man, tempus fugit.

I'm still bummin' that he's gone.

He did seem to be letting the guitar make the sounds it wanted to make. Just a great player.

Thanks, Jeff!

Was this SRV meets Orson Wells? Or Marlon Brando? A feeble attempt at humor.

DUP, you speak as if someone ties you down on regular basis and plays a steady stream of current "pop" favorites ...

Stevie left us too soon. May he rest in peace. Luckily, his work stayed behind him. Put your favorite track (Riviera Paradise) and play in his memory.

Ignore the bubble gum stars ... they fade so fast you can't remember their names ...
The fact that we still remeber SRV speaks volumes ...
