Paradigm monitor speakers are all very good in my opinion. The design and built quality is excellent. The do nearly everything in house including building their own drivers, which is the exception when it comes to speakers. At some point in the recent past I remember Stereophile reviewing the Atoms (one series down from the mini monitors.) As I recall they got a very positive review.

Welcome to the forum! Give the regulars a chance. I'm sure someone will have something to say about your speakers, good or bad. DUP will probably suggest trashing them for some Legacy's and AVA electronics. Don't take any of this too seriously including my comments. We're here to have fun after all. If you like and are satisfied with your speakers that's all that matters. If you're asking for support for your choices you may or may not get it. Who cares anyway, no one else uses your ears to listen.

Thank you for your responses. Thank you JoeE for your warm welcome and i really appreciate the gesture. What puzzles me actually is this:

1. Stereophile has a positive review on paradigm's atoms which is lower than the monitor series where the mini monitor is the entry level.

2. American based home theater magazines rate the Minis as good for value speakers however other magazines can not validate such reviews.

Can some members of the forum enlighten me on this

There is so much good stuff out there that no magazine can possibly hope to review it all. Just because something hasn't been reviewed in Stereophile doesn't say anything negative about said product. The Mini Monitors are much better than the Atoms for not a whole lot more money. Most Paradigm dealers should have both models that you could compare side by side to see if you agree.

I own a pair of  Paradigm Mini Monitors V.3, and let me tell you, this little speakers are awesome! they are only little on their size but not on their sound.

I compared these speakers to some of my other speakers like a pair of Miller and Kreisel S-150THX  (I have only two out of the 5.1 system), a set of Bose Acoustimass 5 Series III, a pair of  JBL HLS610 and some professional active studio monitors like a pair of Alesis Prolinear 720 DSP, which have an awesome sound too and KRK RockIt 5, and these Paradigm speakers really stood up from the others with amazing clean sound, plus really nice power handling.

For example when I put these Paradigm speakers side by side to compare them to my JBL HLS610 with a Harman Kardon AVR100 amp, trough a speaker selector so I can push A or B to really compare the two of them,  listening to mostly Contemporary Jazz, some Classic Rock and some Bob Marley, and to listen for realism and clarity of sound I listened to "Take Five" written by Paul Desmond and performed by The Dave Brubeck Quartet. Hands down the Paradigm were way better on everything at all levels, from power handling and low distortion to the quality of the high and low frequency drivers, you get more pleasant and realistic sound from the Paradigm that you can listen all day.

Pros: In my opinion speakers have an excellent solid and clean sound. They maintain their solid bass even at very low listening levels. Plus their high frequency driver is designed to be not too harsh on your ears at high volume levels and long hours of listening, and that's really true, you can listen to these speakers all day at high volumes without putting a strain on your ears.

Cons: Aesthetically speaking, when I first saw the plastic woofer, I was a bit disappointed, it's not about the sound, but to me it looks cheese! this being the first disadvantage for me. The second disadvantage is the wood finish on the body instead of being black, well, this is more of a personal preference I guess, to fix this I'm going to paint them black with five coats of clear lacquer finish, like I did to my pair of white cone Yamaha NS-344, they had a wood finish body, so I painted them black with five coats of satin clear lacquer, this really improved their look. This time I think I'm going to try High Gloss instead of Satin finish.

Hope this helps.
