I currently own a pair of 816s, and they need space to work. Using them in less than 20 sq. meters is not good. Also, the Cobalt line sounds a bit on the bright side so you should mix them with bright electronics. I suggest you should try them at home before you buy them.
I think you meant to say you should not partner them with bright electronics?
If memory serves me, I recall the Pearls as being described as somewhat bright themselves.
Wonder how the JM Lab speakers would sound with my Harmon Kardon 3250 receiver and the new Cambridge Azur 640C V2 CD player I just ordered?

Yeah! OMG, so sorry, NOT partner the JMlabs with too bright electronics is correct, or at least my 0.02$.
