I've only used the Rotel amp from your list...not the other stuff.
Somewhere between the 900 series Rotel stuff and the current crop of amps, they changed their sound characteristics. In doing so, they lost a lot of low level dynamics and seemed to produce gear more targeted for AV applications as opposed to building serious 2 channel giant slayers.
Maybe they cut back on the use of their slit foils caps or redesigned their power transformers...I dunno. Personally, I think they screwed up and wouldn't buy another one of their amps for even a modestly ambitious 2 channel system.
Rotel's integrated amps are still getting pretty high praise. Maybe that is their 2 channel, reference gear.
I'm sure that isn't what you wanted to hear and you certainly shouldn't put much stock in what I think, but that's my opinion.
Hi Monty
I am a newbie, Could you suggest me another systems (brand new)?
My budget is about 5,000 USD
Thank you very much
First, if you have listened to that system and liked it, I wouldn't let anybody else's opinion disuade you from what you already know you like. I've not heard all the components together and if you have, well, my opinion means didley squat...as it should.
If you haven't heard the system, but have the opportunity to hear it before you buy it, by all means do it. It's not like Rotel doesn't make good stuff, they are built very well and my only experience with their current gear is the 1050 and 1070 amps and so my disappointment is in the amp department.
Have you listened to any other gear for comparisons...or the Rotel gear itself?
