I am looking for a surround processer that I can connect to my pre amps EPL .....................Years ago there were some surround processers that one could have hooked up to an existing stereo, but I can not seem to find such a unit.

eBay. There are always several listed. Of course, they are the older ones that you referred to but, if they will do DD/DTS/DPL (if not the latest variants), they will do the job. I have Technics SH - AC500D for such a role.

Hi Kal,

Thanks for responding so soon. Yes, but are there any "new" ones that will suffice using the epl input with rca cable and therefore avoiding speaker cable with the Dynaco QD I Series 11 processer as I use now.

1. AFAIK, there are no new ones anymore.
2. An inexpensive AVR with pre-outs is the closest one can get to a new processor.
3. Either 1 or 2 will get you more/better than the QD I.
