B&O dealers used to carry adapters to mate other gear with B&O. I doubt you'll find any at a dealer nowdays though. B&O has stopped supporting all of the old stuff and parts are no longer available. I would consider this before I purchased a used B&O product. Once it breaks, that's it. If you must have a 5500, try a B&O repair shop for the adapters.
