RG,

I had one of these devices. Tried playing some Cecil Taylor through it and the damn thing blew up on me! Seems Cecil's music infected the Infector!

Got to get one, and the review was very favorable. Review of PI 14

I have been looking for something that has a here, there and back again feature. To match up with my book by Bilbo.

Very nice...

Rane makes some great stuff, and laugh too. The here and there control is one of the finast ones I've ever heard. But are there upgraded AC line cords available? Surely it could add more space between here and there.

Far and away, for me. Up and around is a close second. It shouldn't cost much more for a signature model. The concrete chassis makes it particularly desirable for me -- my neighbor's dog has proven practically bullet-proof, and a nice 10-foot drop on its yapping head ought to do the trick. DUP, this is your recommendation. You had better be right.

just make sure you use a good AC line cord, with the proper twists and turns. With the correct time domain reference insulation bi-furcated neo classic RED,WHITE,BLUE striped similar to this month's audioQuest HDMI cable wrap of the month nonsense. Have you seen the ad this month for AudioQuest's HDMI cable, with it's magic wrap? thse colored stripes make all the difference...and of course they are RED, BLUE, GREEN...there is NO sound ( or image) in a piece of wire, only imaginary marketing nonsense. Back to the RANE, now make sure you use a RANE approved interconnect also, one specifically desinged for here and there enhancement. Otherwise the entire here and there space domain will be lost in the wrong insulation. Not sure if it needs heating or freezing to make proper here to there correct. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me in here to there physics would know. Or at least an experienced cable ad maker would. Can't wait till the series II here to there cable comes out next month.

Behringer DEQ2495. RTA with pink noise generater. Automatic frequency response correction and for only $300. Also need to purchase a Behringer calibrated microphone for about $60.

I own the Behringer 2496 (the lower end mmore manual model) and it works great. I use it in conjunction with an RTA - mostly for the big bumps caused by the room/set up. When I A/B I hear no negative effects (only a slight amount of noise I can only hear up close). On the positive side it helped tremendously with huge bumps I have at 46hz and 130hz.
