Yeah, Buddha. ROTS might be a great album-- I simply can't listen to it. As I recall, that was true of the LP, too. I believe the source was dig-it-all.

I don't have the new disc, Buddha, but I had a similar complaint with Rythym of the Saints. I thought it was just me, or my room, or my system. Aint processed sound great.

90% of mainstream "pop" music is engineered by either morons who haven't a clue and/or guys who figure (correctly) that hardly anyone will listen to it on equipment with better resolution than a boom-box; so it is engineered to sound good on a boom-box. It surprises you that a balance engineered to sound good on a boom-box doesn't sound good on a high-resolution system?
