I have an M&K MX-70 for my den and am pleased with it. It is not really big enough for serious Movie use but as a sub used for music the performance is quite satisfactory. M&K has a good reputation although not the value that SVS subs tend to be.

I have the older V125 sub, it is supreme. The sealed enclosure is fast and tight - excellent deep bass. Back when my model was current, Sound & Vision claims to have measured it down to 19Hz.

After a few years, when it was out of warranty, it developed a hum and M&K had me detach the amp (easy to do) and send it back and they replaced it for free. I would definitely get another one of their sealed subs; but, cannot comment on their other speakers.
