SIRIUS BLUES 74....Terrestial radio is beat. But XPN is GREAT, for "old fashion" radio...Out of Philly. They had Buddy Guy LIVE a while ago, when his new CD came out. World Cafe is GREAT, introduces new music. Checkout www.mattoree.com

I can listen to WXPN any time I want for free. Right now they are playing Santana Abraxas. XPN has improved over the years. When I was a student at Drexel the station was low powered and quite amateurish in production. We also have a super jazz station here in Phila. It is WRTI and it comes from Temple Univ. I'm glad you like satellite radio. I will never pay to listen to the radio.

The Univ. of Penn. where WXPN comes from is in Phila. and my Alma Mater. My MS-IS is from the Wharton School at Penn. I support my school. I pick up WXPN of the air here in Phila. Frankly, I find most blues booring.

Yes the blues can be and sometimes is boring. Listening to nothing but the blues is kind of like eating nothing but quarterpounders. It might fill you up but it is monotonous. Most of the people here have broader musical interests. In general the blues can be summed up with "My baby's gone and life is all wrong, Oh Babe!!!". I that isn't boring I don't know what is. Do yourself a favor and expand your horizons. Even the Beale Street Blues Boy plays other things sometimes. He told me so. By the way it's Albert Collins, no g.
