The XRCD or 20-bit K2 remaster of Sonny Rollins' "Way Out West" is terrific, as is the Verve remaster of Stan Getz' "Getz/Gilberto" and "Jazz Samba".
I recommend highly a Verve release on CD entitled "Gerry Mulligan Meets Johnny Hodges". The two soloists, on baritone and alto respectively, are joined by Claude Williamson (piano), Buddy Clark (bass), and Mel Lewis (drums). The original recording dates from 1959. Each soloist contributed three compositions. Good Stuff.
Time to get acquainted with Ben Webster!
He has a style that seems to fit with what you mention liking.
It's a bit hard to get your hands on, but "Gentle Ben" is a killer good set.
Catalog is: Ensayo, ENY-CD-9771
He also played sax on several Billie Holiday discs. "Body and Soul" can give you a reasonable idea about his style, and is readily available.
Well, not as difficult to find as I thought!
Link to that disc.

Hello John,
Here's a disc that's not to be missed and fits all your criteria to a tee.
People Time - Stan Getz with Kenny Barron A double cd release recorded live in 1991 just a few months before Stan Getz's death but don't let that deter you - Getz rarely sounded better or played with such heartfelt emotion than on this wonderful duet recording. Well worth seeking out.
The best Saxophone recording I have ever heard is Sonny Rollins Saxophone Colossus. Label: DCC. Catalog N
