I may be incorrect, but, it seems to me that at any given point in time, any note or combination of notes (taking into account the sum of those notes and any cancellations created by the interaction of said notes) is really just a new note in time. As long as the speaker can handle the width of the spectrum being played, it should be able to reproduce the note(s).
