A bunch of stands
If you read the full description of the various designs you can probably find just the right mate for your speakers.
Just curious, with such a variance across the price ranges listed above -- what does the extra $200 buy someone?
It's very easy to find reviews and information on loudspeakers, amps, cd-players et al, but short of those in the $2000 range stands really never see much review. Are they basically all created equal below that line and it simply becomes about aesthetic or is it something else?

If you consider the primary concerns in selecting stands to be optimum height for your particular speaker design and your listening position, solid coupling to the floor to help transfer resonance, rigid enough not to create unwanted additional vibration and spikes on both the speaker plate and stand legs to help move the vibrations away from the speaker itself then you can at least have a decent gauge to begin your search. The ability to fill with lead shot or sand will help in these respects.
Without actually seeing the stands and looking at how they designed them you have to depend on the description.
I'm sure aesthetics adds a significant amount to the stand's price as well as the quality of material used in the construction...not to mention branding.
What would you say is an acceptable 'overlap' for the speaker -- rarely do I see speakers that are smaller than their top plates and more usually the speaker is considerably larger. Is there any good 'ratio' to be working off of?
